LEONTIUS, (695-698 A.D.), gold solidus, (4.48 g), Constantinople mint, 1st officina, Struck 695-698, obv. Crowned bust facing, wearing loros, holding akakia and globus cruciger, around D LEO N pe AV, rev. cross potent set on three steps, around VICTORIA AVGUA **D*, CONOB in exergue, (S.1331A, DOC -, BMC-, MIB 3). Extremely fine with a few die scratches and small area of porosity on reverse, very rare with the **D* following the officina A.
