CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus, issued 217, Rome mint, (4.93 g), obv. radiate bust draped and cuirassed to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Sarapis standing facing head to left, holding sceptre and raising hand, around P M TR P XX COS IIII P P, (S.6780, RIC 289f, RSC 383). Lightly toned, extremely fine and scarce.
