CEYLON (SRI LANKA), proof (pattern) silver rix dollar 1815, obv. George III to left, rev. elephant to left, (KM.Pn7, Pr.81). Blue and gold dark tone, FDC and extremely rare.

Pridmore believes the issue is a proof since it was an authorised issue for rix dollars for that year. However it has also been described as a pattern by some numismatists as the quantity of rix dollars required were never produced.

Estimate / sale price does not include buyer's premium (currently 22% including GST) which is added to hammer price. All bids are executed on the understanding that the Terms & Conditions of sale have been read and accepted. For information on grading and estimates please refer to the Buying at Auction advice.
