SACERD DEI SOLIS ELAGAB around, Elagabalus horned standing to right. sacrificing out of a patera over lighted altar and holding club upright, in field to r. a star, (S.7542, RIC 131, BMC 225 note, RSC 246) (illustrated); another issued 220-222 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.29 g), obv. laureated head to right of Elagabalus, draped, seen slightly from the back, not bearded, IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG around, rev. LIBERTAS AVG around, Libertas standing to half left, holding pileus (cap), and sceptre or rod, in field to right a star, (S.7523, RIC 107, RSC 92a); another issued 221 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.08 g), obv. laureated head to right of Elagabalus, draped, with horn over forehead, seen from the front, bearded, IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG around, rev.
