SACERD DEI SOLIS ELAGAB around, Elagabalus horned standing to right. sacrificing out of a patera over lighted altar and holding club upright, in field to r. a star, (S.7542, RIC 131, BMC 225 note, RSC 246) (illustrated); another issued 220-222 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.29 g), obv. laureated head to right of Elagabalus, draped, seen slightly from the back, not bearded, IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG around, rev. LIBERTAS AVG around, Libertas standing to half left, holding pileus (cap), and sceptre or rod, in field to right a star, (S.7523, RIC 107, RSC 92a); another issued 221 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.08 g), obv. laureated head to right of Elagabalus, draped, with horn over forehead, seen from the front, bearded, IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG around, rev. P M TR P IIII COS III P P around, Elagabalus standing to half left, sacrificing out of a patera over lighted altar, holding branch or club upwards in left hand; in field to left a star(S,7536, RIC 46, RSC 196); another issued 220-222 A.D., Rome Mint, (3.21 g), obv. laureated head to right of Elagabalus, draped, seen slightly from the back, not bearded, IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG around, rev. VICTORIA AVG around, Victory flying to left, holding open wreath or diadem in both hands, a small shield either side of her skirt; in field to right a star, (S.7554, RIC 161, RSC 300a).
