GEORGE VI, Royal Mint London, pattern or proof penny, 1937. Attractive glossy brown and red uncirculated or nearly FDC and extremely rare, one of eight known in private hands and one of the most important Australian Commonwealth rarities.

Believed to be ex J.G.Gartner Collection and ex Spink Australia Sale 15 (lot 680) and Sale 64 (lot 2010).
