HONORIUS, (A.D. 393-423), gold solidus, Constantinople Mint issued A.D. 402, (4.33 g), obv. helmeted bust to half right with elaborate dress, holding shield and spear over shoulder, around DN HONORI VS P F AVG, rev. Constantinopolis enthroned facing head right, holding sceptre and Victory, star in left field, around CONCORDI A AVGGGE, in exergue CONOB, (cf.S.20899, RIC 24, Depeyrot 56/1). Good very fine and rare.
