THRACE, Abdera, (336-311 B.C.), silver drachm, (2.34 g), obv. Griffin springing to left with both forelegs raised, above AB**[D]* and below H**P*IT[E**WN]*, rev. around **EPI EYRH[SIP]POU*, within linear square laureate head of Apollo to right, shallow incuse square, (cf.S.1549, May [Coinage of Abdera] 542). Toned, surface pitting, very fine and scarce.
