MACEDON, Chalkidian League, (420-392 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.23 g), Olynthos Mint, obv. laureate head of Apollo to left of the finest classical style, rev. [X]A**LKIDEWN* around, kithara with seven strings, all within very shallow incuse square, (S.1425, Robinson & Clement Group L, [69] [A46/P62], SNG ANS 483 [same obverse die]). With an attractive head of Apollo of excellent Classical style, lightly toned, nearly extremely fine, light surface roughness on reverse, very scarce.
