PAEONIA, Kingdom of, Patraos, (c.340-315 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, uncertain mint probably Damastion, (12.79 g), obv. head of Apollo to right, with laureate, dotted border and from a worn die, rev. horseman to right spearing fallen enemy, who holds spear and shield, around **PATRAOU, thunderbolt between legs of horse fallen enemy, bunch of grapes to left of horseman, (S.1520, Paeonian Hoard 124-128, [same dies], SNG ANS 1032, HGC 3.1, 148 [corrected]). Obverse worn die, slightly off centred, lightly toned, otherwise fine/nearly extremely fine and a rare type.
