GEORGE II, silver shilling, 1741/39, roses in angles, (S.3701 [£850 VF], ESC 1202A [R5]). Dull grey patina, good very fine and an exceptional rarity.

The overdate is clear for the 1 over 9 but uncertain on the 3 over 4. ESC rates it as an R5 (5 - 10 known examples).
