Q. MARCIUS PHILIPPUS, (129 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.764 grams), obv. Roma helmeted head right, * behind, rev. Macedonian horseman to right, Q.PILIPVS below, ROMA in exergue, (S.135 [£60 VF], Cr.259/1, Syd.477). Off centred on the obverse, dark grey tone, good very fine and scarce.

This issue refers to Q. Marcius Philippus who campaigned against Perseus in 169 B.C. and who had previously been sent as an ambassador to Philip V.
