CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 201-210, Rome mint, (3.060 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Caracalla standing left, sacrificing out of patera over tripod, holding roll, around VOTA SOLVT DEC COS III, (S.-, RIC 161, RSC 143). Flan crack, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
