SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D.222-235), silver denarius, issued 222, Rome mint, (2.760 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, draped and cuirassed, around IMP C M AVR SEV ALEXAND AVG, rev. P M TR P COS P P, Mars standing facing, head to left holding olive branch and spear, (cf.S.2220, RIC 7, RSC 207). Toned, flan crack, otherwise nearly extremely fine/good fine.
