ST. EUSTATIUS, Herman Gosling, 1 Bitt, 1771 in brass (22.5mm) (Pr.p.263, fig 45; Lyall 452; Rulau 1). Very fine and rare.

Purchased from Spink in 1987. Struck during the British Administration 1781-1814, the bitt (or real) equalled twelve and a half cents.
