HONG KONG/ CHINA, British Trade dollar, silver imitation, 1908, the mint letter replaced by an incuse dot, and the value in English replaced by FOR JEWELLERY (Pr 31). Good very fine and rare.

Ex F.Pridmore (lot 346) and Inveruglas (lot 943) Collections. Believed by Pridmore to have been produced in Canton to deceive Chinese and Malays as only the English value one dollar was removed.
