ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (6.63 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, X behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right; below **EU[X], below exergue [NEOPOLITWN], (cf.S.307, Sambon 477, SNG ANS 370-1). Attractive dark tone, off centred on the reverse, dumpy flan, otherwise very fine.
