GEORGE III, emergency issue, silver dollar, octagonal countermark on Charles IIII, silver eight reales 1799 IJ, Lima Mint, (S.3766, ESC 140A [R2]). Gold and blue grey tone, host coin almost extremely fine, countermark good very fine and very rare host coin and exceptional in this condition.

Ex B.A. Seaby, Ltd, London , purchased in 1979 and previously from the collection of Lord Hamiliton of Dalzell M.C., Collection sold by Spink & Son, London auction, February 21, 1979 (lot 478 and realised Å“420).
