SICILY, Syracuse, (c.485-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.190 grams), obv. slow quadriga driven to right by male charioteer, Nike flying right crowning horses, rev. **SU*R**AK OSI O N around to right, head of Artemis-Arethusa to right, diadem of beads, four dolphins around, (cf.S.914, Boehringer 112 same dies [obverse 51/reverse 77 dies], SNG Munich 935 [same dies]). Pitting and porosity on surface particularly near the edge, otherwise fine and rare.

Boehringer notes only 3 specimens from these dies.
