MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.04 grams), Ake mint, issued 323-2 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, date to left = year 24, to right **ALEXANDRO[U], (cf.S.6713, Price 3260, BMC 3260a [same dies], cf.M.1453, Demanhur 3954-3960). Off centred on the obverse, toned very fine.
