MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.100 grams), Abydus? mint, issued c.328-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, male figure left wearing chlamys, under throne, HH monoggram, to right **ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6730, Price 1501, BMC 1501a-c, M.906, SNG Cop. 892). Very fine/good fine.
