THESSALY, Larissa, (340-320 B.C.), silver drachm, (6.06 grams), obv, facing head of nymph Larissa three-quarter to left, within dotted border, rev. horse grazing to right, with head turned facing, above **LARIS, in exergue **AIWN, trident downwards under horse, (cf.S.2121, Hermann Pl.V, 14). Off centred on obverse, with full flan on reverse, of finest style, extremely fine and a rare variant with trident.
