ATTICA, Athens, (300-262 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.152 grams), obv. head of Athena to right wearing ivy crested helmet, eye in profile, cross countermark on cheek, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, olive twig and crescent behind, to right, **AQE*, all in incuse square, punch of cross in centre, two separate boars in rectangular punch, (S.2547, Kraay (Coins of Ancient Athens) Pl. LV, 6, SNG Cop. 63-4). Mis-shapened flan as usual, otherwise good very fine, and unpublished with boar countermarks.
