ATTICA, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.792 grams), issued 148-7 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 116-5 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, cult statue of Delian Apollo to right, M on amphora, legend across **A QE, to left SWKR ATHS, DIONU SODW, EPMO, SW* below, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, cf.Thompson 621j same obverse die, probably Thompson 622h and 623e reverse die, Sv.56,19 same obverse die). Nearly very fine and rare.

This die combination is not noted by Thompson but probably as an unpublished mule.
