ATTICA, Eleusis, (3rd century B.C.), AE 17, (4.456 grams), obv. Triptolemos favourite of Demeter standing left in winged car drawn by serpents, holding corn-ears, rev. boar standing to right on bacchos, kernos symbol (lamp) below, above **ELEUS[Il*, (cf.S.2575; Kroll (Essays Thompson), L [p.142, Pl.16L]; Sv. Pl.103, 13, cf.BMC 54). Glossy black patina, very fine, very scarce with clear ethnic.
