CARIA, Pixodaros as satrap, (340-334 B.C.), silver didrachm, (7.00 grams), obv. laureate head of Apollo three-quarter face to right, rev. Zeus Labraundos standing to right holding labrys and spear, to right **PIXWDARO[U]*, (S.4966, BMC 5-10 [p.185]). Of exceptional artistic merit, extremely fine and very rare in this condition.
