SYRIA, Kingdom of, Antiochus VII, (138-129 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.680 grams), Tyre mint, probably issued 132-1 B.C., obv. diademed head of Antiochus VII to right, fillet border, rev. Athena standing to left, holding Nike in hand and other hand on shield with Medusa head and a spear, to right **BASILEWS ANTIOCOU, and to left **EUER GETOU, to left Tyre monogram on club, IEP and A**SU* either side of club, date off flan, (cf.S.7091 [£165], SNG Israel I (Spaer) 2073-4, cf.Houghton ACNAC 762, BMC 18), Date off flan in exergue, otherwise good very fine, scarce.
