PHOENICIA, Berytus, Nerva, (A.D.96-98), AE 24, (13.14 grams), issued posthumously by Trajan, obv. laureate head to right, around DIVOS NERVA AVGVSTVS, rev. colonist ploughing right with yoke of oxen, COL over IVL above, AVG FEL BER around, (S.950, BMC 81-3, Rouvier 515, Lindgren 2258). Good fine/very fine and rare.

This coin has the full title of the city Colonia Julia Augusta Felix Berytus, a title that first appears during the reign of Trajan.
