REPUBLIC, Struck Coinage, Anonymous Series, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (6.740 grams), Rome mint, obv. laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri, border of dots, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA incuse on tablet, (S.80, Cr.28/3, Syd. 64). Good very fine and scarce.
