AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver cistophorus, Ephesus mint, issued c.25 B.C., (11.458 grams), obv. bare head of Augustus to right, below IMP CAE SAR, line border, rev. AVGVSTVS in field above garlanded altar, sculptured with two confronting hinds, linear border, (S.476, RIC 479, C.33, BMC 694). Fine / very good and rare.
