CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver antoninianus issued 216, Rome mint, (5.142 grams), obv. radiate bust to right of Caracalla, draped around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, rev. Serapis standing left, holding sceptre and raising right hand, around P M TR P XVIIII COS IIII P P, (cf.S.1909, RIC 280d, RSC 349b). With original mint bloom, good extremely fine, scarce.
