PELOPONNESOS, Argolis, Argos, (c.2nd century B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.244 grams), obv. forepart of wolf to left, rev. large A star below, across [E **PI / KR] A/ TE OS* all within incuse square, (cf.S.2774, cf.BMC 113 [wolf right], cf.SNG Cop.49 [wolf right]). Toned, nearly extremely fine weak on reverse legend and a rare variety.
