ZEUGITANA, Carthage, AE 15 (c.370-350 B.C.), probably Carthage mint or possibly an uncertain Sicilian mint, (5.96 g), obv. head of male (Triptolemus) to left, wearing wreath of corn ears, rev. horse galloping to right, line border, (S.-, SNG Cop. 95 [Carthage mint dated late 4th early 3rd century B.C.], Visona 2) (illustrated); another (c.241-221 B.C.), AE 27, Carthage mint, (5.85 g), obv. head of Tanit left, wreathed with corn, rev. horse standing right, sun-disk between two uraeus-cobras, below Punic letter H, (cf.S.6505, M.138, SNG Cop. 263-264, cf.Visona 38); similar small size, no symbol but with sun disk, AE 18 (2.77 g), (SNG Cop.-, M.-); another very similar very small AE 12 (1.11 g), (SNG Cop. -); another without sun disk AE 22 (6.93 g), before horse a caduceus, (M.253).
