BROOKLYN (WELLINGTON) HARRIERS, a group of prize medals won by G.B.Appleby from 1936-1949: P.M.Denton, Annual Competition, uniface, struck in blackened copper (28x25mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'G.B.Appleby/Capt./1936'; another, uniface, struck in silver (32x30mm), by P.N.D., obverse inscribed 'G.B.Appleby', reverse inscribed '1936/1940'; another, uniface, struck in silver and enamel (28mm), by W&H (Walker & Hall), reverse inscribed 'G.Appleby/1937'; another, uniface, struck in gold (9ct, 12.1g, 30mm), by M&K (Mayer & Kean, Wellington), reverse inscribed 'Club Champion/1939/G.B.Appleby.'; another, as last but silver, no maker, reverse inscribed 'Club Chsp./1940/G.B.Appleby/2nd'; another, as last, by B&S (Bock & Son), reverse inscribed 'Club Championship/2nd/G.Appleby/1947'; another, uniface, struck in silver (28x25mm), by B&S, reverse inscribed 'B.H.C./48/Pewter Pot/G.Appleby'; P.M.Denton, Annual Competition, uniface, struck in blackened copper (28x25mm), no maker, reverse inscribed '1948/G.Appleby'; another, as last, reverse inscribed '1949/G.Appleby'; also, W.C.N.Z.A.A.A., struck in silvered copper (26mm), no maker, reverse inscribed 'Bennett Mem./R.R./A Grd./G.Appleby/1936'; also, Scottish Harriers A.A.C. badge struck in silvered copper and enamel (27x25mm), by Mayer & Kean, Wellington, pin-back, reverse inscribed '1941'. All except the last with ring top suspensions, very fine - extremely fine, the first five illustrated. (11)
