AUCKLAND FIRE BOARD, Long Service Medal for five years service, in silver (38mm), by A.Kohn (actually impressed A.Kodhn) (Adolph Kohn, Auckland), die struck text on reverse of previous medals 'For/Five Years Service/Date Completed' has been professionally removed manually, suspension bar also stamped 'A.Kohn Ltd', reverse inscribed 'J.B.Paterson/June 1924 - May 1935'; St Andrews Society of Auckland, handcrafted in gold (9ct, approx 8.5g including gold bar and clasp, 32x38.5mm), no maker, ring top suspension, with ribbon and 9ct gold stick-pin bar and 9ct gold clasp '1938-39', reverse inscribed 'J.B.Paterson/President/1927-28'; The Federation of New Zealand Justices Associations, struck in gold and enamel (9ct, approx 17.0g including gold brooch bar, 34.5x39mm), no maker, ring top suspension with ribbon and 9ct gold brooch bar inscribed 'Past President', reverse inscribed 'J.B.Paterson/1945-48'. Good very fine, the first medal a rare variety. (3)
