GAUL. South and Central Gaul, the silver quinarius coinage, the Allobroges horseman series, (late 1st Century B.C.), silver light drachms, (2.37, 1.67 grams). obv. [DVR]NACOS to right visible on second coin, helmeted head of Roma to right, rev. ibex to right with X below on first coin, horseman galloping right, holding spear and AV[SCRO] below on second coin. (CCCBM II 163ff, 263; de la Tour 2879, 5762). Toned, fine - very fine. (2)
