ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, (GV Admiral's uniform type) with unofficial silver pin back suspender engraved 'NAVAL BRIGADE'. A.B. T.Dennis. Impressed. Extremely fine.
Together with Naval Comrades Association badge (KC) in silver and enamel; George VI and Elizabeth Coronation medalet, 1937, in bronze (32mm) with suspension loop. A notice in The Sydney Morning Herald on 20 May 1916 states that 'the association has been formed for the purpose of bringing together occasionally old comrades in the Navy. Ten years' service in the Imperial or Commonwealth naval forces is necessary to qualify for membership. Mr A.E.Olsen is president of the association.' Family connection to Thomas and Margaret Dennis, arrived at Sydney from Liverpool, England aboard 'Anna' on 21 February 1855.
