EDUCATION, Royal Polytechnic Society, instituted 1833, James Watt medal First Class, in silver (45mm) by W.Wyon (Eimer 1272) edge inscribed 'J.Chaffin & Sons, For Group 'The Chess Players, 1875'; Silcoates Northern Congregational School, prize medal in silver (49mm) by B.Wyon, obverse, head of Athena right, reverse engraved in centre 'William Gray' within wreath, 'Lee Prize For Mathematics July 1877' around. Both medals cased, good extremely fine - nearly uncirculated. (2)
