INDIA, Mughal, Shah Jahan, (A.H. 1037-1068, A.D. 1628-1658), silver rupees, Surat mint, within squares both sides, dated AH 1054 (1644-5), RY 17, (11.38 g) (KM.235.23); another Multan Mint, AH [1051] (1641-2), RY 16, (11.42 g) (KM.235.19). Both with clear RY dates, last has been gilt to pass as a mohur, fine - very fine, in collector's descriptive flips. (2)
