WELLINGTON COLLEGE, struck in copper (29.5x2mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Shooting/Jun. Ch./S.G.Mansfield/1938.'; another, struck in copper (29.5x2.5mm), no maker, ring top suspension, reverse inscribed 'Thomson/Gymnastic/Trophy/S.G.Mansfield/1940'. Small area of oxidation on reverse of second medal, otherwise toned extremely fine. (2)

The Junior Championship trophy for shooting in the 1st Cadet Battalion Wellington Regiment was won by Cadet S.G.Mansfield. The battalion was inspected and trophies presented on 11 November 1938 by Colonel I.T.Standish, Officer Commanding the Central Military School at Wellington College.
