PONTUS, Neocaesarea, Severus Alexander, (AD 222-235), AE 30mm (14.69 g), dated POA = 171 = 234-5 AD, obv. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev. two tetrastyle temples side by side date in exergue, and bow, (Recueil General 44, Cizmeli 262) (illustrated); second coin, similar, Zela, Septimius Severus, (AD 193-211), AE 27mm, (12.53 g), dated PMB = 206/7 AD, obv. laureate, head right, rev. tetrastyle temple with arched pediment trace of lighted altar within, (SNG Righetti 159, cf.BMC Zela 1-2). Fine - very fine, scarce. (2)
