COMMONWEALTH MILITARY COMPETITION, Senior Cadets District Competitions Medal in silver 1911-12, reverse inscribed to, 'Cadet J.T.Butler/93rd Battn'; The Hutchins School badge in gilt and enamel (shield 39.5x40mm), pin back, by P.J.King, Melb.; Hutchins School Prefect badge in silver (shield 37x28mm), pin back, by F.A.F.; Hutchins School Old Boys Association lapel/fob badge in 18ct gold (8.4g) and enamel (oval 28x19.5mm), reverse inscribed, 'J M T Butler/Dec 1914'. No ribbon on first medal, some enamel missing on second, otherwise very fine - extremely fine. (4)
The 1911-12 winner of the 6th Military District was F Coy 93rd Bn, 23 Brigade. The 6th Military District (Tasmania) had one brigade, the 23rd, composed of 90-93 Battalions. The 93rd was successful again in the District Competitions in 1912-13 (H Coy) and 1913-14 (I Coy).
