TRIO. Military Cross (GVR); British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal. Capt. J.S. Yule A.I.F. MC engraved, medals impressed. Very fine. $ MC: L.G. 20 December 1917: 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty whilst under heavy shell fire. Although gassed early in the operation he remained continuously on duty for two days, during which time 450 cases passed through his hands. He has shown great gallantry on numerous previous occasions.' Together with photographs of recipient, photo of medals; details from 'the All Australia Memorial' biographical details; extensive Australia Archives research regarding his military career. Died 24 October 1946.
