Capt. W.A. Mewman N.S.W. M.R. Impressed, second medal partially renamed, name erased on British War Medal, others unnamed. Fine-very fine.
Lieutenant William A. Newman was officer commanding 'C' Squadron, First New South Wales Rifles. Together with extract from 'Records of Australian Contingent to the South Africa War 1899-1902.'
