ITALY, Calabria, Taras, (380-345 B.C.), silver stater, (7.83 grams), obv. helmeted warrior in close fitting thorax and holding short sword and shield on horse galloping to left, below **D*, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a cantharos, waves, small dolphin and E below, **TAPAS* on right, (cf.S.337, Vl.-, Cote 135). Very fine, of finest style.
