GORDIAN III, (A.D. 238-244), silver antoninianii, Rome mint, obv. radiate bust of Gordian III, draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, rev. Jupiter standing facing head to right, with thunderbolt and sceptre, around IOVI STATORI, (S.2437, RIC 84), another similar obv. as before, around IMP CAES M ANT GORDIANVS AVG, rev. as before with additional figure of Gordian III before, around IOVI CONSERVATORI, (S.2436, RIC 2). Extremely fine/very fine; very fine. (2)
