ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater, (7.27 grams), obv. head of female to right, the hair is held bound by a sphendone or sakkos, rev. corn ear, META to left, stalk to right, [K] reversed above stalk, (cf.S.409, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 518, McLean 964 [same dies]). Nearly very fine/fine and very scarce.
