MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.14 grams), Colophon mint, issued c.319-310 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **SW to left, below throne EK monogram, to right ALEXANDR[OU], (cf.S.6730, Price 1794, BMC 1794a-c, Muller 1605). Good very fine.
