AGHLABIDS RULERS OF TUNISIA, Ahmad, (A.H. 242-249) (A.D. 856-863), gold dinar, no mint but probably Tunis (North Africa), with additional legends on the obverse 'masrur' and reverse 'Ghalaba' (he who has conquered), ruler's name 'Ahmad' below, A.H.244 = A.D. 858, (A.444, cf.BMC 198 [Vol.II]). Nearly very fine and very scarce.
