REPUBLIC, M. Volteius M.f., (78 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, obv. bust of Attis or young Corybas draped to right, wearing laureate helmet, symbol behind, rev. Cybele seated in chariot to right, drawn by two lions, letters above, [M] VOLTEI M F in exergue, (B.Volteia 4, cf.S.282, Cr.385/4, Syd.777). Minor chipping on edge, otherwise good very fine and very scarce.
