SYRIA, Seleucid kingdom of Antiochus Hierax, (246-227 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.61 grams), Alexandria Troas mint, obv. head of Antiochus Hierax to r., with winged diademed, rev. Apollo seated to l., on omphalos, holding arrow and resting on bow, in exergue horse grazing to l., (WSM -, S.6919 var.). Extremely fine and very rare.

ex Frank Kovacs auction, Sale XI, June 19, 1993 (lot 92). Kovacs notes that these monograms are unlisted in WSM.
